The Military App is a mobile and web-app community platform for veterans, serving soldiers and their families that is strengthening connection, building support and driving in-person engagement. The Military App has been specifically designed for Unit, Regimental and Corps HQs, their Associations and Military Charities or organisations. It operates as a non MOD platform to transform the way they can communicate with, connect and support members across their entire community.
The REME Association has plans to improve the REME Connect user experience, and gave us a very brief introduction to the Military App in their last newsletter. Those plans came to fruition quickly, and the brand new REME Connect app has been under development ever since.
Every REME Association Branch, Group and Breakfast Club will have its own dedicated ‘group’ within the app. Branch Secretaries and Group/Breakfast Club POCs will automatically be registered as the admin/owner of your group, Admins will be given full training by Allegr, the team behind the Military app, and they will also be hosting Q&A sessions for us ahead of the launch.
Managing the new app groups will be no different to running a Facebook group, though with a lot more functionality specifically for military personnel. Every Armourers’ Association member will automatically be eligible to join the app, giving you access to the REME family and beyond if you want to join other regimental communities. The app will change the way we communicate with each other
